About Clinical Psychology

A clinical psychologist is a psychologist who has undertaken highly specialised APAC-accredited training in the assessment, diagnosis, formulation, and psychological treatment of mental health disorders across the lifespan. 


Clinical psychologists can assess and diagnose mental health conditions. The education and training of clinical psychologists takes eight years. 


NDIS Reports

A clinical psychologist can provide the necessary documentation to prove a permanent disability exists. Decisions regarding funding approval are made independently by the NDIS.

Please note: a clinical psychologist cannot prescribe medication.
