Step 3

Step 1

Step 3

  • The psychologist will score and interpret informant reports and all psychometric data. This process will take two weeks after the final assessment session.

  • The final appointment is the feedback session which will explain findings and diagnostic impression.

  • For children, the feedback session involves caregivers only. An optional feedback appointment for children can be arranged to explain findings in a strength-based way.

  • You receive a copy of the report with recommendations and tailored strategies to support your journey. In some cases, the report may be used as diagnostic evidence to apply for NDIS, and/or school/occupational support.

  • I provide a seperate report for schools including only required information for the school environment to maintain families privacy.

What Happens After Assessment?

What next?

If a diagnosis is made, you may be eligible for NDIS funding for support. You can use the psychological report for diagnostic evidence if there is evidence of a permanent disability and functional impairment.

Recommendations and individualised strategies are provided in your report and feedback session, whether or not you meet criteria for a diagnosis, to address the presenting problem and help optimise your wellbeing.

Many people feel valiated and understood following an assessment. Knowing your strengths can help you modify tasks to build confidence. You may be able to have access to learning/occupational supports.

Please note that the psychologist provides assessment and recommendations only. Decisions regarding funding approval or acceptance by the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) are made independently by the NDIS and are outside the psychologist’s control.
